We are wrtiting you from the roof of a little house in the middle of the lands of the 'Bokpoort' farm. Situated a few kilometers away from 'Clarens', a little town nearby, the farm has its own claim: 'Bockpoort, Where the Soul Runs Free'. The ranch was built 200 years ago and is still ruled by the same Boer family since 5 generations.
They are real cowboys, with hats, guns on the belt and more than 60 horses, that graze in absolute freedom. At the moment, in front of the little house, some turkeys, cows and a 4 months old little pig are walking around us.
Instead of the images, here is their site address - http://www.bokpoort.co.za - and of you want to know more about it, write to Justine: horses@bokpoort.co.za
Today's video is a SURPRISE that we prepared with passion and fun; take the time to download it in order to watch it again and again... and maybe discover the 'Nomad Project' mystery!
A little path in front of me runs between the horses'clogs and red dust, driven by the twilight's wind.
Nomad thoughts make me imagine other trips, but the sun, that slowly embraces the moon, takes me to another destination.
Then I lose the ultimate horse's trace and look at an infinite meadow. My footsteps, my thoughts and my breathing stop : the sun shines on a zebra, then another and another one again.
With them, a group of springboks. They stop eating and moving their tale: they seem to look at me with curiosity and come closer. They escort my slow and respectful walk. I've never been so close to Peace.
Rezia - new nomad.

Text written by M. Philip Steyn for a press article:
Nomadic cultures learn from others and often find balanced perspectives.
Problems are solved using a wide range of resources. When the knowledge base of a nomadic lifestyle is freely shared with all who are travellers, real or virtual, the benefits of the first caravan expedition of the Nomad Community become apparent.
The Car@van has Omnitel2000, Benetton and National Geographic France as sponsors (...) The route and objectives of the Car@van are directed, to a large extent, by global citizens using the world wide web. A web of like-minded persons and contacts is being built in the process of exploration and travel, and objectives are shaped by daily discussions between the real travellers and their encouraging viewers on the web.
The Journal will be bak on the 7th. Today, the Team is preparing to join Asia in a few days. We are also working on the development of the Forum and I-world, our database (now on-line).
Sunday, the Car@van will be on chat at 8.00 pm GMT, stay tuned! And don't forget, vote!
