With a lot of humility and repect, we enter in the heart of one of the biggest elephants den of Africa: Addo's Elephant Park.
Hapoor, its legendary leader, lived there between 1944 & 1968. The elephant, which left ear was spoiled by a hunter's rifle, was known for its courage and hate of man.
It was finally shot down after he succeeded in climbing one of the huge fences that surrounder the Park.
We drive a long time in the bush, seeing from a time to another an elephant, far in the hills. But where are the 300 animals announced at the entrance?
Suddenly, our hearts stop beating: a family comes straight towards the camper. Driving slowly, we let the 8 elephants walk by behind us.
But Aleko can't help trumpetting: "bbbbbbhhhrrreee"; one of the elephants rises its trunk as a sign of aggressivity, another groans furiously. Now on, we prefer to let them in peace.

Unlikely several african countries, one of the problems of South Africa is its too important number of elephants, which population continues to rise every year.
The South African government is facing strong pressures to continue on forbidding ivory sales. Furthermore, these, some say, would maintain nature conservations projects and finance other parks!
Did you know the elephant trunk is made of 60.000 muscles !

Walking on a red stone, Theo gets deeply in the bush. A few moments later, we see him running back to the van: "a snake!!!". His face turns pale when a Park's keeper says this green snake is deadly.
He adds: "when you walk, don't look only at the ground but also at the trees".
Aleko, our red elephant, spends his day
Chris: Touch & Go, Touch & Go...always on the road
Yohannes: Music is everything
As decided on vote n°2 - Continue - we drove towards East, to Port Elizabeth. On the way, we gave a lift to several african hitch-hikers.
Some whites and few blacks had dissuaded us from doing it; but we met very nice persons, with who we've discussed about Bob Marley, Africa or Nomadism. Each time, it was a unique occasion to know ourselves better: the different roles played by blacks and whites in the south-african society don't let us have frank relations.
Here is, with a few delay, the video of our trip, with Chris and Johannes.
The great results day... we are in your hands!
