An early wake-up to discover the results of the vote! We are very surprised, the choice is black water rafting. We were expecting the others!
We have organized a big descent in turbulent waters for tomorrow. Today, we wandered in George, meeting some intersting characters.
Gladis works as a houseworker in a small boer villa in George.
In Xhosa, her name means: 'What you love'... a magic name for her whole life.
Beautiful, she shows me with pride how to tie the complicated scarf on her head. I'm surprised by one of her thoughts:
since her wedding, her husband forbid her to wear any trousers or short skirts, but it doesn't seem to bother her. On the other hand, she feels more respected
and less vulnerable. - and I, I still wear some jeans... Maya
